The QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s EYFS Framework. The Framework requires all early years providers in England to have at least one person, who has a current and full paediatric first aid certificate on the premises and available at all times when children are present. 

It is suitable for Childminders, Nursery staff, School staff or anybody wanting a more in-depth knowledge of first aid for children. The practical and theory sessions meet the EYFS Syllabus and include:

We can deliver courses in your own workplace or school/nursery for a maximum of 12 people per course; although more than one course can be run simultaneously. Courses can also be split over a number of days if required.

Assessment is via practical activities, continuous assessment and multiple choice question papers.

This is an accredited course and upon successful completion of this course a certificate will be issued which is valid for three years. We also recommend an annual refresher to maintain the skills and knowledge required.
